Since the players and owners have come to terms it looks like many teams could be affected due to the salary cap!

Raven's will have to cut:

McGahee
Mason
Heap
Gregg

These are core players.

How has your team been affected by the new agreement?

A wee bit early for me to pay attention, but with the lock out over, things are going to get interesting.:hmmm: Suppose I need to check the webpage.

My co-workers yesterday, told me fav-ray was going to the Eagles. I said "you're pulling my leg."
..but if it's true.:har::har::har::har::har::har::har::har::har: :har::har:

It is not early yet. New agreement and new rules have been made. Free agency will get very interesting. What gets me is these 4 cut from the Ravens are under contract. So the contract gets cut at a certain amount of compensation. This contract is now null and void but said player can come back and play at reduced compensation to satisfy the salary cap? Some funny accounting going on. It will be very short negotiations for free agents. Here is your position at X amount of dollars. Do you want it or not? Tick..tick...tick...No, ok. NEXT!

Not early at all! In fact, I was wondering when you were going to get the fantasy football league set up. :|\\

OMG, you're right!:dead: It is almost August.:o:o:o
See, here's how the McBee calender system works: It's either Sunday (sunday= monday in my world) or Tuesday/Wed (Tue/Wed= My Friday) Everything else is the weekend. There are no months in my world.

So is this a football thread, or the offical subsim thread? If it is "just a thread", then I better get off my a$$ and start the oh-ficial thread.

The Philadelphia Eagles already have two viable starting QBs. I can tell you for a fact that they are not interested in acquiring Brett Favre, whom NFC North fans seem to believe is the only free agent quarterback in professional football.

Are you SURE the Eagles aren't interested in Rex Grossman? Even just because he's a Redskin?? REALLY REALLY REALLY sure??

Rex Grossman is the GREATEST QB. Ever. [quote from a subsim member], yes they were serious.

dusting off FFL settings-n-stuff. I think there will be 2 openings. Kinda tempting to trim the league back by 2 teams.

RickC Sniper

I for one would be in favor of that.

I'd have no problem with trimming the league back either.

Just spitballing ideas...what about replacing one of the 3 WR spots with a RB/WR flex position? It seems like we have to reach pretty deep for WRs

mr chris

I'm in favour of both ideas made by Mookie and Niki.
Took part in a 14 team mock draft earlier and i was scraping the barrel to fill out the squad towards the end.

My mock draft.
Was picking 12th out of 14.

1. Andre Johnson (Hou - WR)
2. Philip Rivers (SD - QB)
3. Jermichael Finley (GB - TE)
4. Mark Ingram (NO - RB)
5. Austin Collie (Ind - WR)
6. LaDainian Tomlinson (NYJ - RB)
7. New York (NYJ - DEF)
8. Braylon Edwards (NYJ - WR)
9. Steve Smith (NYG - WR)
10. Fred Jackson (Buf - RB)
11. Tim Tebow (Den - QB)
12. Nick Folk (NYJ - K)
13. Shane Vereen (NE - RB)
14. Tony Moeaki (KC - TE)
15. Brian Hartline (Mia - WR)
