First time in six years....

I've been hit by the no credit for sinking ships bug:damn:. I sunk a medium tanker using two torps and when she went down I got the normal congratulations from the crew and the red ship sunk icon but no "She's going down" message and nothing recorded in the log. Oh well I thought I'll chase the convoy again and try sinking another ship and see what happens. I caught up with the convoy and stuck a torpedo into a large merchant and after a few minutes she sank but again no credit. At this point I thought it pointless to carry on so I saved and exited the game and reloaded. After chasing the convoy again I sunk a small tanker and problem cured I'm getting the credit again:yeah:.

Oddly enough, I had the same problem last Sunday. On the first attack sank 2 ships. First one normal. Second one the sunk simbol came up but no anouncement nor crew stomping.

Second attack got the she´s going down and crew noise, but no record on the log. No indication on the shut down screen.

Glad to hear it worked normal. How can the great Balz be Balz without sinking credits and lots of medals?:wah:

It's as though the game is registering the ship as sunk, hence the red ship sunk icon, but it's not giving you the credit because it thinks another entity sunk the ship. I remember watching a JU88 attack a British schooner in the North Sea. It got a direct hit with a bomb and my crew mumbled their approval and a red ship sunk icon appeared on the map. As would be expected nothing was credited to me.

Another thing I've noticed is that if you torpedo a ship then dive below 100 metres and then the ship sinks, you get "she's going down" but sometimes get a grey ship sunk icon or no icon at all on the map and no verbal from the crew. I get the credit though which is the main thing.
