Are the moderators able to remove our permissions to upload an image? Shame really,I just fancied a change and it was small enough, for some flippin reason it suddenly grew to an enormous size :06:
If permissions have been disabled,is there any way I can activate them again? :nope:
Thanks.

No one has changed your sig permissions, afaik.
A friendly reminder, please keep your signature images to a reasonable size, no larger than 120 high, 400 wide. Max file size is 100KB. Sigs that are political or religous in nature may only be displayed in General Topics. Only naval-oriented sigs are allowed in the naval and game forums. Hi Neal,
I saw at the bottom of my sig edit page that sig permissions were set to 'no' (odd).
Don't worry,it was not political and was an acceptable size,it was merely a harmless image of king Neptune guiding a ship through a storm,or about to sink it even :arrgh!:
I may need to find another image,I suspect there is a problem with this one,for the life of me I can't imagine what.
Thanks for the reply :yep:

Neal,
Here is what is happening.I upload my image to Photobucket, shrink it down to 175 x 175 (any smaller and I can hardly see it),save the file, copy the 'direct link' ,copy the link into my sig edit screen and immediately the image resizes itself to a size that practically fills the entire screen. This has never happened before and am not sure what is going on here.
Sorry to be a pain.
Cheers.
Paul, as punishment,now making 75 sit-ups :D

Strange,I can :shifty:

After recieving a warning about my sig image, which I didnt want as I was trying to shrink it but seemed to be having problems I need to know if my new image is smaller and more acceptable? :nope:
Hope that infraction comes off my profile, this was unintentional.
Thanks

I almost forgot,I have noticed some people have sig images much larger, would they be donators to the forum and so are allowed more freedoms?
Thanks again

Paul, I understand your question but If I may I'd suggest you let the matter drop....the infraction brought 0 points and IIRC the sig was quite a size.
Neal is very relaxed about sig sizes (see his earlier post on this thread) and yes there are some that go beyond the dimensions he quoted but in a case where one 'jumps out' it is not unusual for a moderator to take a light form of action on occasion.
Donators to the forums are treated no more favourably than any other forum member (moderators included).

As Jim said, I issued a warning, which does not carry any points. Though even if it had been an infraction, the point value would have been 1, and you need 13 points to get a time out. Points generally expire in 1 to 2 weeks.
Your sig attracted my notice because it was bigger than the posts I had been seeing from you by a good margin. I also factor in the text along with the image in the signature. So you could have a 10x10 pixel sig, but 12 lines of text and get an infraction for it because of the amount of text.

Perhaps......shrink the image before uploading to photobucket.
Just guessing, but I suspect photobucket did this, or you used the wrong url at PB to link to.

Another alternative Paul.....you could send me what tou'd like and I'd gladly size it for you.
