When I was five I lost control of my first bike. Crashed into a wall. Landed on the nut that screws the handlebars to the post. Swole up like a pair of golf balls. Went to the hospital. I was fine, and have two beautiful daughters. So yes, it hurts, but no it does not cripple you forever or prevent you having kids.
