Don't think there's any big Q3 releases. Q4 is where all the good stuff is at and we have a thread going about it here http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=185250

Red orchestra 2 and ArmA 3 though the latter is not to be released until 2012.
Battlefield 3 not that excited though I'll probably buy it on release day(stock day here).
Games that I'm still considering that are already released are Starcraft 2, Need For Speed Unleashed 2 and Men of War. I may get one or all three sooner or later or none at all. Need for speed pretty much requires at least a gaming pad or a steering wheel. I'm a bit hesitant on investing on expensive steering wheel atm. If it had Ferrari I'd get it without doubts but it doesn't.

2011 has been a great year already, but I'm still looking forward to Red Orchestra 2, Sword of the Stars 2, Deus Ex, Tropico 4, Men of War - Vietnam, Sengoku, Arkham City and obviously Skyrim. Think Dead Island deserves a mention as well.
Then next year Metro: Last Light, Prey 2, Mass Effect 3, X Rebirth, Crusader Kings II and Naval War Arctic Circle, Aliens: Colonial Marines, Tomb Raider.
Think I'm most excited about Subversion though; http://www.introversion.co.uk/subversion/

Yes I have and that's the only reason I will probably buy it. I never play Battlefield ever,
I'm a hard person to get excited over nowadays even more about games.
The thing is I'd describe the quality of a game by its gameplay first and foremost(including in it among other things: challenge rating, thinking or strategizing requirement, replayability and game duration to finish). Nowadays it's quite difficult to find a game gameplay that doesn't fall short in one aspect or another in every genre.
However because of this I tend to view boardgames in general as being the better games than console/PC games in general. When gaming I care mostly about how it feels playing it than how it looks. It's the overall package that attracts me not just the visual appeal.

I do agree with you, The game itself has to be a great all around quality game for me to even look at it, thats why im so excited for Battlefield 3, Because i had such a great experience with Bad Company 2, Im looking forward to having a better one with Battlefield 3. and on that note, Skyrim is winning game of the year im sure, I cant wait for that. I'm most excited for skyrim.

I fail to see the logic in that. :hmmm:

Well I tend to view battlefield as being an arcade shooter. Maybe my judgment is imprecise but when it comes to military shooter I'd rate ArmA 2 as the most realistic one available to market even with its shortcomings.
Battlefield 3 however does look very very good but again I can't help noticing how the effects are being overdone in game such as cars exploding as if they were carrying ammunition. The whole effect thing even in Battlefield 3 is pretty Hollywood thing than leaning to anything realistic.
But I have to confess I'm probably atm burned by the more realistic games. For example Being excited joining a multiplayer ArmA 2 game only to be pissed 3 minutes later because the AI are being a one hell of a sharpshooter. FUUUUU I couldn't even hit them with my marksman scoped rifle and they got me first after I fired a few rounds and with iron sight rifle[pull hair].

Also, try some 7.62 weapons. I feel completely useless with anything chambered in 5.56 as well. Exception being anything using the mk262 cartridge.
Also, check if the body armor thingy is on in the difficulty settings.

Mass effect 3. Well only if it lives up to the first instead the second.
Much too short on the second. The first was epic.

my current must buys include...
Carrier Command Gaea Mission
Task Force 1942 ii (or whatever it will be called)
Arma III
Naval War Arctic Circle
Red Pill
Steel Fury sequel
Jet Thunder
DCS-F15
& on the ipod
Wolves of the Atlantic
And that's about it, rather sad that the list is so short, in times past I'd be buying 2-3 games a month but there are so few decent sim titles nowadays.

This, Crusader Kings is going to be awesome.
Not looking forward to anything besides that really.

Skyrim is pretty much the only one. Mildly curious about Modern Warfare 3, but not really, it's not my kind of series any more.
Have got to pick up Portal 2, though:DL.
Red Orchastra 2
Deux Ex: Human Revolution
Hitman Absolution
Batman Arkham City
Battle feild 3 (2 was great but I never liked 'Bad company' so much)
I desperately want a good European theatre WW2 game with abit of Strategy. maybe a Hidden and Dangerous 3, or WW2 era ArmA. But there is really not alot on the horizon. :(
A nice WW2 C&C style RTS would be good too, but too much focus on infantry squads & realism in the current WW2 RTS titles out there tends to make them a bit dull for my liking.
Maybe i dont want to manage ammunition, supplies, moral and fatigue etc etc...
Maybe I just want to spam 30 half tracks, 40 panzers and 20 JU88s, an a bismark! and then send them to their death! why wont they let me? :)
IMO Realism + RTS = slightly boring.
Feuer Frei!

Diablo 3
Batman Arkham City
In that order.

You're SPOT ON! CONGRATS!
GWX rules! :shucks:
Sweet Introversion. I've been a fan of these guys since Uplink
Uplink was superb. I gained additional respect for them when they hacked into PC Gamer's network and inserted Uplink high up in the magazines annual '100 best PC games' list. :D
Crusader Kings 2 should be fun. I would be looking forward to Skyrim but as I expect it to be tied to Steam I've decided to wait and see. No point in being excited about something I'm not going to play. Colonial Marines also looks fun. Probably Steam as well but I'll continue dreaming for the time being.
