That dude is impressive.
Truly amazing! I wish all the Eddie Van and Yngwie wannabes who infest the clubs and studios here in Los Angeles get a look at what a true musician is and the depth of his art. He is not just a great technician, he also has a soul behind his playing. His humility is also greatly refreshing.
George would have been pleased and proud to have seen this video. George had a deep love of the ukulele. A few years before his passing, he appeared on a radio interview and played some songs on the ukulele provided by the interviewer. It was a lot of fun to hear how joyful he seemed to be when he was playing. Here are a few links regarding George and the ukelele:

Jake Shimabukuro is fantastic!
I really like his 'Bohemian Rhapsody' version.

On a somewhat related note: I really miss George. He seemed like such a lovely person.

I ended up watching all the videos I could find. One poster on one video called him "the Jimi Hendrix of the ukulele". I agreed but posted that I would liken him more to Chet Atkins. Either way, future generations will compare upcoming great players to Jake Shimabukuro.
Thanks for the link, Ducimus. :sunny:

Sorry to hijack the thread.
But I'm with ya I do miss George Harrison great song writer, musician and all around good guy.
Ringo said he co-wrote this with George others have said George himself wrote 'It Don't Come Easy'.
Either way I still prefer this one to Ringo's version, an all time favorite of mine.

George and John would have loved it. John's mother played the ukelele. It's the one thing that Paul says stands out in his mind about John's mother. How they would all sit there and listen to Julia play.
