I thought a Wienerschnitzel was some kind of pork cutlet. At least that's what it appears to be on the sandwiches they sell by that name at all our local fairs and stuff.


The Schitzels, on the other hand, is what you get about two hours after eating one of those sandwiches.

A wienerschnitzel (Wiener Schnitzel) is not made of pork. It has to be made of breaded veal.

A schnitzel wiener kind (Schnitzel Wiener Art) can be made of breaded pork.

wienerschnitzel (Wiener Schnitzel) is a kind of "trademark" like champagne or cognac...
