I expect this will turn up on the LOTR extended Blu-rays. It's certainly a scene I'd not seen before in any version of the movies.

BTW there have been new hobbit video updates in the last few days its just that ive retired from updating them here :O:, so just check Peter Jackson's facebook from time to time.
