Hi guys!

As some (the most, I think) of you know the harbour of Valetta had a major strategic part in the war of ww2 and the mediterranean sea.
We all know the harbour from Silent Hunter 3 or Silent Hunter 5.
This year my wife and me started to plan our holidays and since women always want to go somewhere warm, I suggested Malta.
It is warm, has a great countryside and a long history.
Of course we planned to visit Valetta and the grand harbour.

Maybe some of you are interested in having a look of the habour 2011 and some potential tonnage to sink.
I think BdU would give us the iron cross for sinking the tonnage there ;)

The last 10 days have been great on Malta and here you can see the pictures: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/album.php?albumid=515

Malta is one of the countries I've never visited but would like to one day....a great deal to see relating to the last war and as far as I understand, a people still greatful for the support Britain gave them in those terrible times.

Wow, great pics. :yeah:

Fantasia is 138,000 GRT :o - how much reknown would that be? And currently parked up in Tunis. If only marinetraffic.com was around 70 years ago!

Vasilios N is still in Malta, the destination is said to be Misurata - don't know if that's still the case or whether that's just the last filed plan for it?

Nice shots of the forts and Ocean too.

Great pictures, I've been there too, amazing place and as you say a lot of history.

Did you by any chance go to that cathedral were a german bomb crashed through the roof, landed on the floor but luckily failed to explode. If I remember rightly it was full of worshipers at the time.
