As some of you know I am returning to the game after almost a year and have just come round to installing the 1.4b patch over a clean install, only now I am getting an error report linked to de_menu.txt being an unknown version, and the installation terminates right there.
I must say, this is a first for me!,I even got the file from Subsim downloads.Looks like I may need to fresh install again? *dodgy indeed* :x
Any help will be appreciated of course.

Balz is not only doing okay, he's currently doing Casablanca. Speculation is rife that he is also doing a certain female captain (fictional version, of course) and that he is in competition with a certain haji over some camels.

Is it pronounced Bal-z, B-all-s, or Bal-ts (typical German z sounding like s?) ;)
I suspect it is Baltz.

I always say Balls :yep: So you can pretty much guarantee that's wrong then!

I imagine Balls could get pretty hairy after a long spell at sea ;)
Relax...Mr Big will fix it.

Balz doesn't stoop to playing piano, though he can when he feels like it. That's why he told Fritz to do it. Sam was on his break.

I' d pronounce it Baltz with a short "a"
I hope that Brag does not get the idea that we have to tell the next chapter:hmmm:

I said "Play it, Fritz" and you replied with "It's pronounced BalZ etc.". I thought you were correcting me on "Fritz". Now that I reread your post I see you were asking a question, not making a statement, and it was related to "Baltz" vs "Balz", and you ended with "I suspect it is Baltz". It is indeed "Balz" without the 'T', which is not silent even when it's not there. "Balz" is still pronounced "Baltz".
I was confused by Fritz's sporadic hit-and-miss playing - he gets sloppy when he's trying to hit on a miss.
