I have learned today, through trial and rather a lot of errors (which gave me strange and unwelcome results requiring a reinstall to get rid of them) that if you want to install TDW's NU UI TDC 6.6 mod, you do not unzip to the MOD folder created by JSGME and tip the contents into there - nothing will happen if you do. Nor do you particulaly need to go into scripts and start messing about with python code (though I am sure that is fun), all you need to do is unzip the mod you have just downloaded to a folder you have created somewhere, and then copy the MOD folder you will find in there into the game folder. Then activate the modules you want via the mod enabler, and it will all appear as it should in the game. It took me ALL DAY to work that one out. However, happy as I am to see the changes, I still do not have the teleport, nor is there any Time Compression at the top. Perhaps the TC will become available when I complete the tutorial (I started afresh) but would appreciate guidance on where to find the teleport, pretty please :)

OH, silly me - I goddit! It was there all the time - the teleport; the icon is an upward arrow. Ah I can go to bed happy now. Night all big grins :)

thank you Sober, what a useful read, got it - deactivate all mods ( why is this I wonder?) and plot complete course to Kiel, and THEN the TC comes in. ThankyouverymuchSah! :salute:

Its just easier if you dont use mods in the tutorial . People playing for the first time dont know what is going on with half the interface not showing up etc . I really recommend real navigation which is included in TDW UI mods . SH3/4 never had anything like it .

Note taken Sober, will go for that presently.

SheGeek, hello sister! Pleased to meet you. :D

Yes, it was posted on the wall of my Best Beloved's workplace ( he did radar stuff and played about with all sorts of knob-twiddling gizmo-things). It made me giggle too, so I put it on here. Glad you like it :)

I saw the "Lookenpeepers" on a poster a very long time ago. Most of the versions I could find are more modern, but I did stumble on this one from 1962:

May I add my thanks, too, for the 'Lookenpeepers'. I have often remembered parts of it over the years, but never very much of it, and it's great to have it back.

I wonder where the complete original of the "Lookenpeepers" came from, quick google search gave me the jist of the joke. Pretty amusing.

And of course! Good job with getting stuff to work, definitely go for the real navigation mod as well, tho. Real navi combined with 100% realism setting is great! :yeah:
