I had to use System Restore on my XP (first time ever) to go back one week unrelated to SH3. When I started back on my career game, the whole crew was standing at attention, unresponsive, and with their arms straight out. Actually spooked me :o. The rest of the game is fine. I use the latest grey wolves, some mods, but not sub comander. I know there are people on this forum who really understand not only the guttyworks of the game itself , but also how computers work. I have SH3 loaded also on another computer, so if there is any way a can swap out(?) the corrupted or missing file(s) without having to reload I would be very grateful. Anyone else ever had this problem? Thank you.

It happens sometimes .... where they have become nervous and depth charges for hours ... this is atleast my experience with outstretched hands

Well, it is only an idea so far...

Please try to find out, from which date/time your last career files are. Not "game time", but real time in Windows Explorer.

They should be in C:\My Documents\... or where ever you have kept your personal files.

Maybe there is now after the rollback a problem with one of the .cfg files there. Some information like last mission etc. is kept there; there are some .tmp files as well.

Maybe they collide with the game now ?:hmmm:

Edit: I remember I had this phenomenon years ago in SH 3 Stock. Even the deck crew was turning around with their arms spread. I made a fresh install as a solution. I do not know the reasons for that behaviour. It was an unmodded SH3...

Edit: Wasn't it "Default Poser Status" after time compression on the bridge? :hmmm: I think it was gone after a dive... :hmmm:

I cannot solve your problem, but I do know that this is how the characters are "born." Generally, by the time the program has run long enough for you to see into the control room, they have moved "into position".

So something is hanging up your graphics. I remember a thread on this a year or so ago, try to search under "spread arms" or "crew not moving".

Thank you Danasan. The problem persists, even in mission games I haven't played. Diving doesn't cure. Desirableroasted is right. This is a born position, and it is not getting the next command to get move'n. I'll search the posts as directed, and then, since I'm going to have to reload, I'm going to swap out a few files and see what happens. Can't hurt. thanks again.:salute:Happy 4th of July!
