Anyone know what happened to him, what his "problem" was?
He lost command and was awarded a citation and had his sub badge ripped off his uniform at the same time by the same officer, ordered off subs for good and was later ousted out of the navy to avoid a CM.
I can't find details other than what I have read in Silent Victory.
