June Gloom here. :DL Will get better. :sunny:
Its over 70 Degrees (Fahrenheit) In the house here at night, a pleasant summer is impossible when temperatures like this happen, but enjoy whatever your doing/wherever your going.
Why can't winter come back. :x

Your climate is quite humid as I recall during my travels around Singapore and Malaysia.

Umm that's true, maybe a little less than Singapore. Singapore is nearer to the equator.
I'd suggest to you Bali as your next holiday destination(Yeah Bali is part of Indonesia). Backpack or otherwise. Traveling to the country area or places where traditions still hold strong is quite an experience. The people are more polite, helpful and warmer. Nothing like the average city people. There's sense of reassuring peace and smallness if you're close to nature. Understandably because you get to see boulder the size of an entire house or listening to the sound of a raging river especially at night as you sit for dinner. . . . . . It's awesome.

Ah you should :DL
There are many nice places in Indonesia. But Bali is probably the safest bet and easiest destination.
