I had to reinstall windows 7 (64 bit system) and so had to reinstall SH 5. Reinstall went fine with no apparent problems. I logged in and what seemed like a good point for online storage, my saves came up. However when I choose to continue my campaign, I dropped out of game like I had chose to to desk top looking at the UBI Post report.

I tried once more with the same results. Then I tried just loading a saved game of the campaign. Same results. So I went in and tried a Historical campaign I hadn't played. It came up fine and Iplayed for awhile before leaveing it intentunally.

Any suggestions short of reinstalling the game?

I have JSGME which was activated the first go. So the second go I disabled everything with the above results.

I am running windows 7 Premium 64 bit, 6 gigs of memory, an I7 quad core stock, and a nvidia GTS 450

When I installed it the first time, before formatting my drive it worked like a jewel with no know problems.

You need to have the same mod pack as the one you had when the game was saved last time. Or start a new campaign.

That makes since. Well I got them all. Now all I got to do is remember which ones it was and perhaps which order. Trial and error ...... My head already hurts. LOL ..... Thanks :damn:

When in the middle of the mod enabler you will see Tasks . Choose save/load mod profile . Makes life a hell of a lot easier . You can uninstall all the mods or a few or whatever combo and load them back in the proper order . Click on mods + shift to group mods to uninstall in a group .

Well I still had my backup file of SH5 so I looked in the JSGME and litterally copied HOW I had them installed in the orginal. I'm sad to say that it did not work. I cam up with the same reuslts being bounced to the desk top. I will go in and see if I can start a new camaign. I would like to thank all for their help and tips. :D

Well that didn't work either ........ bounced back to the desk top once again. So I guess I will uninstall and reinstall. Maybe better luck the next time. :(

Make sure you have version 1.2

If not - uninstall all mods and run:-
C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\Support\GameUpdater\GU.exe

Then put your mods back:up:
