Problem Patching SH3 on Encore Label

Hi there

Some kind submariner might be able to help me! After many years away from SH3 I bought a Starforce-free 2 pack of SH2 and SH3 (the Ubisoft ENCORE label) but I can't get any 1.4b patch to work on this install... the properties on sh3.exe say it is 1.4.01... is that 1.4b???
