Dam! James Franco! Not a fan.
I love Chimps but this movie looks pretty dodgy. Very very commercial.
I'll await reviews.

Hollywood. Sooo out of fresh ideas. Frankly, the original sequels made in the seventies got a little dodgy.

Looks great! Though I thought the same about the Priest trailer, Priest turned out to be an average B flick :nope: Hope this Apes movie will turn out better.

You know, i haven't seen The Priest, but i saw some pics of the character, and he has a cross on his forehead!
Actually 2 characters have that.
Errm, looks pretty cheesy.

Nothing will beat the original especially when Taylor said

Take your stinking paws off me, you damned dirty ape!

And this is a classic as well
Taylor- Doctor, I'd like to kiss you goodbye.
Dr Zira-All right, but you're so damned ugly.

I see Hollywood is still refusing to come up with something new. Oh well, at least it saves on the writing budget. Time to go find some classic movie I missed out on in my childhood and give it a go. Ciao.

You can not beat the original Planet of the Apes and Beneath the Planet of the Apes. The other three don't count as they were not up to scratch. I hated the remake and have no plans to watch this pile of rubbish.

They lost me with the title: Rise of the planet of the apes :nope:

It sounds stupid, failling miserably at trying to be epic and it just tells me that originality is a myth.
It should be a sub-title. Like Legend of Ceasar*, Rise of the planet of the apes or something like that

*yes yes, I know it's simply stupid, but I'm having a bad day and my creativity is being smothered by shere disgust for the world

Teal tint color scheme... check.

Blank-faced James Franco... check.

Lots of slow, knowing glances to camera... check.

Overdone Tahitian war drum inspired soundtrack... check.

Obvious cgi physical animations from chimps... check.

Stock post-1997 trailer editing... check. (Note: no "In a world..." type narration because, hey, that would be cheesy!)

Me not giving a f**k... :yeah:

This. I'll just add, if you take away the CGI, a good portion of these people would be no more than McDonalds employees.

I saw this trailer on the weekend when I went to see X-Men first class (Which if you're interested in X-men is worth the ticket price) and just shook my head in disbelief. Planet of the Apes doesn't need an origins story, it needs to be left in cinematic history.

I wasn't that impressed by it and wont be going to see it. I want a direct sequel to First Class. That'll be good.
