Which officer gives the commands in the control room?

My 1WO has a deep voice on the bridge, but the officer who answers commands in the control room sound just like Marty Pascal from Down Periscope. The only way to stop his shrill yelling is to rig for silent running.

I fully expect to hear him yell, "These men love me!"

The modern Kriegsmarine has job-share entitlement, as many as three people can work the same job. Obviously their pay and benefits are comensurate to the time they work, but for busy modern families it's just the thing they need.

...or have you tried a sound mod like dbsm to change the voices? :D

I swapped out the voices, so the CE would have the deep voice.
He's who I hear the most from.

The other one that drove me crazy was the crew cheer (which IIRC uses the voice assigned to the standing crewman in the control room).

A quick switch of the voices and corresponding .ogg file later, and it's all good. :sunny:

I've heard that crew cheer on Youtube, and am very thankful not to have it in my install.

(We have some very similar modding tastes).
