Sarah and Todd Palin after a family visit on Monday to the National Archives in Washington.

GETTYSBURG, Pa. — Sarah Palin dropped a fresh hint Monday about her presidential ambitions, telling reporters that her “One Nation” bus tour might “at some point” go to Iowa, where the 2012 voting begins.

But that scrap of information was about all Ms. Palin was willing to offer to reporters as she spent Memorial Day bouncing among historic locations in Washington, Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania.

Day 2 of the tour started Monday morning with a visit to the National Archives in Washington, where she and her family took a private moment to look at the Constitution. The family went from there to Mount Vernon, home of George Washington, and to Fort McHenry in Baltimore. A stop at the Gettysburg battlefield in Pennsylvania was also on the itinerary.

Throughout the day, Ms. Palin continued to play coy with reporters eager to know her itinerary. After the National Archives stop, a reporter yelled out, “Sarah, where are you going next?” She quickly answered, “Mount Vernon,” then added, “Oh — you are a reporter, darn you!”

I heard and read Palin wasn't too popular with the "Rolling Thunder" riders who thought she was trying to capitalize politically on an event supposed to be a serious commemoration of veterans...

The Trump-Palin brain trust lives on:

http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-pn-palin-trump-20110531,0,5636152.story?track=rss

I can almost hear the Democrats salivating over a Trump-Palin Republican ticket or a third-party run by those two to siphon off Republican votes...

Even the GOP is not dumb enough to put Palin on a ticket nor Trump for that matter. If they run on a third party ticket (Constitution Party I suspect), all they will do is tear away votes from the two major parties (probably the GOP).

Either way it will be good for the Democrats.

To take a phrase from Karl Rove "Palin is the gift that keeps on giving"

I sometimes wonder who much the DNC is paying Palin?

Palin and Trump are having dinner together tonight, which has the rumor mill buzzing of a Palin/Trump ticket. However, they'll probably compare notes and realize they're making far more money toying & teasing with the idea of running for president then they ever will actually running for president.

Trump is nothing but a publicity hound and Palin is fast turning into one.
That's all well and good as long as they don't run for anything.

The Republicans certainly have no monopoly on dumb VP's. Joe Biden? Al Gore? The thought of either one in the oval office scares the heck out of me.

Oh, I'm not trying to say the Democrats don't make mistakes in their VP picks; hell, they've made mistakes in their Presidential picks, e.g., Dukakis, McGovern. Political stupidity knows no party...

True. But the thing is the Veep is really nothing more than an insurance policy, ostensibly in case the President is incapacitated but lately it seems they are chosen more as a presidents hedge to stay in office! :DL

"If you get rid of me you get HIM (or her) as your new President ha ha, so you better make sure that I stay healthy."

Well in last elections if I had been american and there would have not been Palin... I most likely would have voted John McCain. Yes. I admit I would have voted Republican. I hate GOP mainly because Mr. Bush but also because their rhetoric sometimes sounds far too similar with religious nuts.

Problem with this kind of "hedge" is that it sometimes scares of voters. Personally because Mr. McCain's advanced age I thought that risk of getting Palin as president was too high.

Ofcouse as I'm not american all above is more or less irrelevant.

"all above is more or less irrelevant".[/QUOTE] Not if you are American, and seek someone who can fit for the job, and you obviously have a "moderate" interest in politics.

Your opinion may or may not be irrelevant but a great many American voters shared it.

All very true, I'm not familar with Biden, but Gore is certainly in la-la land territory, but Palin is in a leauge of her own, just watch her in action!
For the sake of hummanity I hope the clueless, christian fundementalist, hockey mom dosen't take over your country.
The Republicans can surely do much better than her.

The Reps should get Arnie to run even though he not American, (it didnt stop Obama) :D
1) he'd be better than 'her'.
2) It would be a landslide win you know it! :haha:

Arnie is toast. When even the Hollywood crowd he was so chummy with turn away, you've got to be a very persona non grata. The funny part of this is, when he was first elected as Governor, some of the far-right California Republicans were making noises about trying to pass a U.S. Constitutional amendment to allow naturalized citizens to be eligible to hold the office of President. The idea was Arnold would shine as Governor, run for the Senate, and then the Presidency. Instead, he lost big time trying to pass the right's agenda is Califonia, turned to the center if not the left to court political support, then totally failed in the remainder of his term. Now he's got ot deal with being just a notch or two above Mel Gibson in public perception. Word around here is he's a very broken man; his inflated ego has taken a severe hit amidships and he's taking on water fast.

Agreed, besides Arnie has blown any chance he may have had if just for the recent negative publicity he received.

Was there ever any outcome regarding Obamas citizenship?
