Anyone interested in trying terreria out? If you don't know what it is look here: http://www.terraria.org/faq.html

If anyone is interested, but doesn't have the funds, I wouldn't mind buying the 4 pack and giving away the other 2 or 3(depending on whether or not the mistress would be interested and able to play it.) games.

Edit: Because the guy who placed my Internet order did not put the fact I need a new jack, I won't be able to play online until June 2nd(still using my I phone for Internet access) so I wouldn't buy it until then.

Been looking at it with a slight interest, it looks kinda cool, but not sure how long I could keep myself interested. I mean, put in anyway you like, it is pretty much just Minecraft in 2D. :hmmm:

I originally thought it was a shameless copy of minecraft until I watched a couple let's plays and read through the wiki. What I've come away with is that the game is mostly about fighting monsters,Fighting bosses, exploring regions, and finding rare equipment. The building aspect is only really a side part, although necessary to get NPC's to spawn.

While this is what MC may be in the future, I think in the action/rpg category it'd ahead of the game.

What I do like is the fact that there are special events where monsters swarm your base. One involves zombies and the other goblins. So it's kinds MC meets DF meets an RPG.

Well, just spent an hour with it and I have to say it's a pretty fun game. If anyone has it, I have a server running although I have no clue what the IP starting tomorrow I'll start a new server and post the IP.

Its a pretty fun game, I dunno if its like Minecraft but its definitely its own game. Was gifted it during the steam summer sale by someone in the Bay12 steam group and I got a lot of gaming out of it.

Definitely better then any Triple-A linear game like Deus Ex. :O:

Surely you mean Deus Ex: Human Revolution.:hmmm:

Against that game I would agree that Terreria is better. Now against the original Deus Ex I would have to strongly disagree sure it is linear-ish but the story is very well done as was the game play.

I see it both ways a game can be linear and be good or bad and a non-linear game can be good or bad what makes the difference are other elements in the game besides it simply being linear or non-linear.

Shameless plug, but for those interested in terraria, check out starbound. I have a topic about it here: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=198029&highlight=Starbound

It is by one of the creators of Terraria(Tiyuri) and is essentially Terraria2.0 in space with a sci-fi setting. It's nearing a public beta(if you pre-order). One of the neat things I saw in a live stream they did, is the fact you can freeze to death on cold planets at night.
