If you are running V1.3 that may be it. I think I had the same problem with 1.3

Get the V 1.4 patch from UBI or better yet go for the gold with V 1.5 and the Uboat addition.

I got both 1.4 and 1.5, but steam apparently finished and installed 1.5 first, then stock 1.4 then happens this. Anyways, I uninstalled both, restarted, then reinstalled 1.4 only, now its working..

any advice on a gameplay fix mod? one improves accuracy of calculations? makes your eels truly hit? and the speed knob on the TDC controls has a 0.5 marks? is it true? and why when I adjust to 6.5kts and press the send it shows up as 7 on the PK screen?

Glad you got it working. :yeah:

The TDC will display 7 knots but the game will use 6.5 in it's calculations.
This holds true for you boat's speed as well, you can set 1.5 knots and that is what you will be doing not 2 knots the speed says.
The gyro angle offset dial works the same way, left 0.5° will do just that.
You can even do 1/4 knot or degree settings. Important to remember for those long shots.

I have the CTD in the museum too. It doesn't happen right away, but when I view the wrong thing -- crash. I have v 1.5 and mods, of course. I assume one of them causes it.

It happens to me it only if I try to view submarines. If I do, I get a CTD after viewing about 3 or so.

I think it may be a machine (CPU, videocard etc.) issue, not a mod issue, since in some computers I had, the museum would not work and nothing would change that, but in others... no problem.

I mention that since I install the same games in several different PCs (home, work, girlfriends house... as if there wern't anything better to do there...) and I saw this museum lock-up happen in some PCs, and not in others, regardless of me using the same version everywhere.

TMO At the least has this in it's FAQ/PDF From memory.

They've just added to many ships, so the museum wont work properly i think i remember was the reason given.

Large address aware bit in linker flag should be raised. In Windows XP, /3GB configuration in boot.ini should be set.http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=177503

Check out post #14 and #15...

I've been having a similar problem. I've been adding some ships from various mods into my TMO install, I did a couple of individually just to make sure I had the hang of it and they managed to show up in the museum loaded up and displayed them no problem. After adding a few more though the museum started crashing half way through the load. The game itself loads fine and I can start a new campaign no problem and I did use CFF Explorer to allow the app to use more than 2 gigs. I'm just wondering if it's just limitations of the museum which I've seen mentioned here or if I should be concerned with the museum crashes because I'd hate to be 5 missions in and run into a bugged entry that crashes the game.
