I don't think hollywood is capable off anything anymore.

The mermaids were hot.
Wouldn't see it a second time, but it did beat sitting at home.:-?

I was pleasantly surprised by what I thought was going to destroy my love for the potc franchise.

With the loss of eye candy....err I mean actress Keira Knightley along with most of the original crew, as well as being comparatively low budget. I thought the movie was going to suck cannonballs.

However I had as much fun with this one as I did with any other Pirates movie, the plot was simple yet effective, obviously carrying on from the ending scene of potc3, the special effects were on par with the other movies, I didn't even miss the missing cast members, and while it wasn't as funny as the some of the other films i was laughing pretty good in a few scenes.

So, it may have been where I had such low expectations, but I actually enjoyed this one.

3.5 or 4/5

Nah, the rumour is that I am just too cheap to pay the ticket prices and since I hate people, I don't like going to crowded theaters.... especially to see CGI effects masquerading as actual movies.
