Forgotten how to post polls

Ok, errm, slightly embarrassing but, it's been a while since i posted a poll.
How do i do that again?
I notice the poll option down the bottom when i start a new topic and it gives me the option to chose how many poll options and post a poll with this topic.
However when i preview i don't see the poll options, or choices?
Please enlighten me.
