So, we've been trough flying saucers, secret bases in the moon and stuff. But I think this is a new one: the nazis tried training dogs to speak and help them in the war efforts and claim success too. But the dogs were apparently more interested in discussing religion and politics, because really, war can't make any sense to such logical animals as dogs are.

Long link to Daily Mail's article (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1390340/Nazis-tried-teach-dogs-talk-read--claimed-discuss-religion-incredible-new-book-claims.html)

Having lived with the dogs all of my life and worked with them for some time as well, I can only say wow. I have seen so intelligent dogs in my time, that they make many humans seem like complete dimwits, but this is still ridiculous. And in a weird way it's also cool. I'll have to get my hands on this book somehow.

Not surprised, Third Reich, trying one, and the second, and so on.....which was in line with other "interests".

Another dog, a German pointer named Don, went one step further - imitating a human voice to bark 'Hungry! Give me cakes', in German.

Must have been the peyote talking. :)

Oh stop it, and report news.

The Germans viewed canines as being almost as intelligent as humans

Is that not rather insulting to dogs?
