Libyan Koni class missile frigate Al Ghardabia has been bombed by NATO forces in Tripoli. The damage appears light, but the state of the Libyan navy could mean she is out of action for a while.

I wonder if she was trying to get underway to attack shipping heading to Misrata.

Of note the other Koni frigate was captured by the Rebels at the start of the fighting.

Good, at least that'll keep her out of the way for now. Until we decide what we're doing with Libya anyway. :hmmm:

German news says they hit not one but eight warships in two harbours, all of them sunk or taken out of action.

Yes 8 warships in a single day means that libian navy has dissapeared or reduced to fast boats and other minor ships.

Looks like our local Apaches will be going duck hunting. Two of them did a display over our town the other day since we've got some twinning arrangement or something with RAF Wattisham. Harry (of the Prince variety) is also at Wattisham learning to fly Apaches so it's possible he might go too.
