Are there any WRC fans out there in Subsim land? How do you see the new car format shaping up this season so far after the first 5 rounds?

For all the excitement about Ken Block joining the fray he has been a bit disappointing I think. Though given his background it will probably take him a few seasons to get comfortable with European conditions. Loeb is currently leading with Hirvonen pretty close behind. Who are you hoping comes away with the prize?

We get a highlights package every weekend on free TV except when the circus comes to town. Then we get pretty good coverage.

Me too, and when it gets to my country it's always a bazillion miles away! Although seeing this thread has reminded me about the Race of Champions which I've just looked up is in Frankfurt 3/4 December. Now to waste some hours looking up flight/train fares.

All that Group A sh!t is watered down and relatively boring. You need Group B rallying!!! It was banned for a reason :yeah:

While the Group B cars were awesome I think the death toll was just too high to continue with them.:-?

The '75 Stratos is still the benchmark for both speed AND danger.

I don;t mind the 1.6L format, certainly the handling of the cars makes it more interesting than the parade we were seeing with the 2.0L cars in recent years. Looks like Citroen is getting the ascendency again though.
