Anyone have some advice on how to update?

I was able to use the updater file in my support folder to update to 1.15 but it goes no further. The updater will not update me to 1.2.

I tried downloading the patch and running it manually, but I get an error message that it is not for this version of the game or something similar.

Does the patch need to be run from the same directory of the game? This is the only method I haven't tried yet.

Would love to get this out of the way so I can get my mods installed and running correctly so I can actually begin enjoying this game.

My SH5 was a D2D. Not sure who I got it from, but when i open the game, I get a rectangle shaped window with a large "play" button at the bottom rig of it. I know for certain it is not from Steam.

when you load your dvd into the drive and before your game boots up it should auto the latest up date version on its own. to 1.2. this game is not related to steam. at least the dvd version isnt. then your mods are best imported via jsgme.once you have installed that into the game.

I think you missed the part where I said it is D2D. Direct to Drive. I did a digital download so there is no DVD. Hehe..

I have tried the updater file but it only takes me to 1.15. No further...

I've never downloaded a game so sorry if I'm not much help.

I would advise just go to the store and buy the game. It's like $24 right now at the Game stop. Because configuring the best mod soup will eventually force you to re-install game several times.
