Hi

I'm using a mod with the RAOFB wheel but what use is it in a game when it stops the periscope from moving when you bring it up on the screen? Are you supposed to pause the game or something?

Thanks....I have been looking at those videos. However, they are not reflective of actual game play conditions. ie. target is stationary, passive, sea calm etc.

In actual combat the image through the scope will be both swaying and the target moving. How can you possibly track the target if you can't move the scope when the RAOB wheel is up? You literally need to check bearing, speed and AOB in a short amount of time.

very simple.... you chose lock target.... folow selected target... and after that you put the RAOFB

And you need very little time to use RAOFB... the tutorial is like this because if i will make like i am playing in game you will understand nothing

You bring ROAFB and you count as quiq you can the vertical and the horizontal marks... and you writte down also what was the bearing in the moment... after that you do not need to follow the target... you just make your calculations... when i use RAOFB i need only 5 seconds to count marks and to relate the scope bearing at those marks... after that i lower complete the scope and i do my calculations

OK...I see that you can get your XO to track the target while you have the RAOB wheel up. :)

But...stoianm, you said in your video that in the next mod release we probably are going to be able to move the periscope with the RAOB wheel up. So really, the periscope SHOULD be able to move when the RAOB wheel is up?

TDW was thinking to do that... but i think he forgot... but as i told you ... you not need to move the scope... you put to follow the target

When you have RAOFB on you can move scope the "usual" way by moving cursor away from preriscope's field of view and do the regular mouse left/right clicking over there - in dark background. Without RAOFB on you do it by placing cursor in field of view ("normal mode").
I guess that's what was your original question about.
