No Deck Gun

I'm running TMO 2.1 and it won't let me mount a deck gun

There isn't even an option for one in the menu

Any suggestions?

Still can't find a fix to the absence of one period

I read that too. There is an issue there, where you are supposed to choose between stern and bow-mounted guns and never change it anymore after your first savegame. If you do, you loose the deck gun.

Dude, there is no deck gun placement option in the first place - when I start and click armament, it is NOT there
