Seems like with that much hull showing, there should be more sail...
My first thought was tiny island.

I think Sweden needs to pull the plug and drain the Baltic Sea. It's become an attractive nuisance.

“We are examining the photographic evidence to see what it could be. But the investigation is by no means finished, “ said Marie Tisäter from the Swedish military information department to DN.
According to the Swedish military they will have finished the investigation within the next two months. Two months to examine photographic evidence? I guess they get paid by the hour! :O:
This is not a sub, but a phenomenon found in nature path, someone needs money fast!
Agreed on the strange lack of sail, unless it's actually just under the surface and what looks like a hull on the surface is the disturbance of the water. :hmmm:

Admit it: it was you in your private submarine!
No, seriously: what kind of phenomenon is this? It definitely doesn't look like a sub to me, but I find the long wake rather interesting.

Seems like with that much hull showing, there should be more sail... not all submarines are fitted with sails. The Yugoslavian Una (AKA Velbit) class is one. :know:

Image was taken at a time when the last of the ice cover was melting away, and on one occasion the ice ripped out a private pier and the drifted off with it. This picture might be just that, the melting ice is "slushy" and the pier (or a piece of it) is stuck at the front, drifting along. Whatever it is, it is around 150 meters out according to the eyewitness. Interesting nontheless, and certainly brings back memories of Swedish choppers, depth charges and the all round paranoia of the 80's and early 90's. :)
WHAT THE HELL KINDA AVATAR IS THAT!?!?!?!? MY EYES!!!!!!
***EDIT****
Thank God it's gone now...

Don't laugh, that is serious business.
Ever seen The Bedford Incident? The US Destroyer locates a Soviet Sub by the type of cabbage in its Sanitary Tank dumps.

Well I reckon it was the wake left by Vendor in the latest Swedish Speed Posting Competition :O:

Or it is the wake made by me dragging my ass as I haven't even managed 500 posts during my 9 years on Subsim. :)

Agreed! I should qualify my paranoia statement with the fact that some of tje observations and attacks made where indeed foreign submarines imo. I was sort of poking fun at the blatantly false reports that were made, most probably in good faith. :) Everyone had submarines on their minds back then! ;)
