Prince William's double mountain rescue after wedding

The Duke of Cambridge has been involved in two rescues, just days after his wedding.

Prince William was among the crew of an RAF Sea King helicopter from RAF Valley in Anglesey who flew to the aid of a 70-year-old walker in Snowdonia.

The man was said to have had a heart attack on the 2,946ft (898m) Lliwedd mountain on Wednesday night.

After flying him to hospital in Bangor the crew returned and flew four men off Snowdon after one suffered vertigo.

The men, thought to be police officers from the West Midlands and in their 20s, were walking at 3,560ft (1,085m) on Crib Goch when one became unwell.

They were airlifted down from the narrow ridge in an area known as Crib-y-Ddysgyl - the scene of previous tragedies.

Last I read on BBC some days ago was that he is about being send for a 4 months tour of duty to the Falklands and that they will live separated during that time, with honeymoon trip planned for next year.

Prince William and his new wife Catherine have gone on honeymoon, Clarence House has said.

It did not reveal the couple's destination, saying it was private.

The Duke of Cambridge returned to his job as an RAF rescue helicopter pilot following a long weekend break after the 29 April wedding, and has now taken a fortnight's leave.

Speculation about possible honeymoon destinations has included Africa, Jordan, the Caribbean and Australia.

An exclusive Indian Ocean island has also been touted as a possible location.

Although the prince has taken two weeks' leave, Clarence House did not say how long would be spent on his honeymoon.

"We are not confirming, and we are not commenting, on speculation on where they may be going on their private honeymoon, we are just confirming that they have gone," a spokesman said.
