Chip off the old block, he's coming along nicely following in the steps of old pop. :rotfl2:

Nice try Charles, but really that simple, it is not

Don't eat less meat due to saving the planet. Simple eat less meat to improve your overall health. ;) The global thing then comes all by itself, and as a natural consequence.

I think Charles has been eating to many magic mushrooms from the royal vege garden. :DL

However, he has valid points. Erosion of fertile ground is a major porbolem, and the consumption of sweet water and how it effects the ground water level in agricultural and life stock hotspot is a knownand illustrated problem. History also shows how overuse of agricultural ressources and abuse of farmnland and natural vegetation has led to erosion that in the end sometimes even has led to the complete wipeout of the local civilisation. The Indians in Chaco Canyon. The Mayans. The Norseman on Greenland. Iceland until today. Australia (salienation). Africa. Easter Island. The Western half of Hispaniola - nowadays better known as Haiti.

It is not half as esoteric as you try to make it appear, guys. It's bitter reality. And it is dramatic.

As I already said above: if helping existential and environmental questions gives you a bad conscience and makes you feel ill, eat less meat for a much more egoist reason: do it for your own health benefit.

This is disgraceful.

How can someone open their mouth and so obviously be wrong? Could it have been imagined? A brain fart? A good old George Bush Misremembering? Needless to say, people should not make claims they cannot back up, and present fiction as fact to make themselves look good in front of a crowd. It's just irresponsible and not the slightest bit accurate.

In short - There is no way Warhawk had sex last night.

And to think that this nice man thought it's better to speak to the almighty united states of America, world's greatest polluter for decades, while it's a rich country that's supposed to feature a population more aware than ANY other population in the world of global warming, rarefaction of water and all this kind of problems appearing in today's world, thanks to media omnipresence, and thanks to the internet of course...

He might as well be talking to China ! :har:

America's appetite for beef is jeopardising the world's water supply, the Prince of Wales said during a visit to the US.

I stopped reading at that sentence.

Lets make sure we got the facts straight.

We're raising the cattle on our own land, right?
We're feeding them water from our own land right? I seriously doubt we're importing water from overseas.

So how is this a WORLD problem again? Are the mountains of manure somehow eating a hole in the Ozone layer?

Our land, our water, we'll eat as much beef as we like.

In honor of the Prince of wales asshattery, i shall be dining upon one of these tasty sandwhich's.

I wonder if the same Texas beef interests who sued Oprah for defamation over her anti-beef comments will take up this fight...

Oh, and I'm about to plop down a nice 16oz Ribeye down on the grill here. Unfortunately it must share space with the nice dainty little chicken breast the wife wants (lightly salted of course), but hey - so long as they don't touch, we should be fine.

Didn't we fight a war so that we could tell any given "prince" to STFU?

He's reverted back since. Apparently, going by an abstract symbol instead of a name killed record sales. However, even going back to "Prince" didn't improve sales much. Prince has refused access to his newer albums to digital download services. He also closed his official website, LotusFlow3r.com. In an interview with the Daily Mirror, Prince said, "The Internet's completely over. I don't see why I should give my new music to iTunes or anyone else.

Yeah, the internet is over. I think the The Purple Reign is over. :D

To be honest, I have way more interest in what the musician formerly known as Prince has to say, than prince chuck. At least "Prince" got what he has through merit (even if not everyone appreciates it).

What's with these older popstars (and I like some of his stuff actually) trashing LEGAL digital download stores like iTunes, Amazon et al that allow them to continue to make money? Lots of younger, newer acts have embraced the internet and flourished! :shifty: Off topic though.

Aynway I actually think HRH (such as he is) is right, people are eating too much beef and meat in general. Especially in the US, folks in other countries don't seem to suffer for it. I love beef btw just try to eat less and eat GOOD quality meat, not processed or fast food crap. BBQ ribeye yummmy. Veggies yummy too...:yep:
