Granted I don't know if May 14th will bring in the big crowds. But this IMO at least is the start of a snowball beginning its trek down a real big hill.

Following are excerpts from a public address delivered by Algerian researcher Abu Ahmad 'Amer, which aired on Al-Jazeera TV on April 5, 2011.

Abu Ahmad 'Amer: "First, after what has happened in Egypt, and after its liberation from the great Pharaoh, and the downfall of some of his lackey priests, I would like to ask: Who wants to go to Gaza? Who wants to go to Jerusalem?

"Oh young men and women of the National Front for Change: The borders are now open. Who wants to play an active role in the liberation of Palestine?

"The winds of change blowing in the world today have brought us the scent of Jerusalem, the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and Palestine."

Crowds: "With our souls and our blood, we will redeem you, oh Al-Aqsa!
"With our souls and our blood, we will redeem you, oh Al-Aqsa!
"With our souls and our blood, we will redeem you, oh Al-Aqsa!
"With our souls and our blood, we will redeem you, oh Al-Aqsa!
"With our souls and our blood, we will redeem you, oh Al-Aqsa!
"With our souls and our blood, we will redeem you, oh Al-Aqsa!"

Abu Ahmad 'Amer: "The imprisoned Gaza, the wounded West Bank, Jerusalem, and the prisoners, will soon hear that entity begging to withdraw from the West Bank ---8211; after withdrawing from Gaza ---8211; in order to spare itself the blows of the mujahideen, and the blows of the Al-Qassam Brigades. [I]The defender of the Israeli borders has been toppled. The protector of Israel has been toppled.

"We salute the interim government in Egypt, which condemned the treacherous strikes of the Zionist entity on Gaza. For the first time in the past 33 years in Egypt's history, the Zionist entity is denounced, and the loathsome Camp David Accord faces the threat of annulment.

"There are glad tidings: The Zionists' lackeys in the West Bank have secretly begun to leave the West Bank, because they know that the winds of change are blowing. Everything that happens in any Arab of Islamic country is in support of Palestine and the Al-Aqsa Mosque."

Crowds:"Khaybar, Khaybar, oh Jews, the army of Muhammad will return!"

Rockstar, you can read that same sort of rubbish daily on Memri for the past decade, there is never any shortage of it.
It isn't the start of a snowball starting rolling down a big hill its just usual everyday middle eastern crap

In fairness, the last few weeks in the middle east have been anything but usual...

That said, the rhetoric was certainly always there. Yeah, the wording is absolutely routine by local standards, complete with the usual Arabic tendency for flamboyant exaggeration. And I for one am still inclined that the cold, self-interested nationalism that is prevalent particularly in the Egyptian military, isn't going to step aside for uncontrolled chaos. Let's not forget that it was the military who were the real winners in Egypt's revolt, and they're still very much in control.

So to tie that to the other MEMRI news topic, Egypts military has more friends on its facebook page than the Jerusalem Day page has.

I love the arabic Al-Jazeera! There are few things which are as relaxing as sitting in front of the TV with some friends and a cold beer and watching angry people bitching all the time.

Too bad that I would have to turn my satellite dish for Hezbollah tv - I heard their children shows are entertaining - and you learn much about the jews...
