I'm in the mood for some new reading material. Anyone here read any good comic series lately? I'm more of a DC man myself but I don't mind Marvel.

So throw up your favorite series or one shot comics.

The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers. Best comical comic of all time.

Judge Dread.

Back in the day it was Judge Dread and Heavy Metal comics. I think I was something like 16 when I read my first Heavy Metal comic and learn't all about sex - thanks Heavy Metal for getting me into trouble with woman during my teenager years :nope: :DL

I haven't read a HM mag for decades but I see they are still going.

Alan Ford and group TNT, hillarious, but I don't know how known they are outside southern Europe.
And Asterix of course :DL

I've always been a fan of the French artists, with Tardi being my favourite.

Also François Bourgeon drew a sequel to his brilliant graphic novel "Les Passagers du vent" (Travellers in the wind). the first part of the series is from the early 80s where they made a computer game from with astonishing graphics for this time.
The last 2 books have just been published last year.

I'm a DC fan myself, and have a fairly complete collection of all things DC starting with the 1985 reboot, plus a fair number of things from earlier times. I got out after Final Crisis.

Judge Dread.
A real fan, which I'm not, would know that it's 'Dredd', not 'Dread'. :O:

Never was a fan of Superhero comics. Something of a phobia of spandex I think. I grew up reading Commando comic and 2000AD. Maybe try one of the 2000AD compilations like Strontium Dog or Nemesis the Warlock: Huge guns, space demons, mutant bounty hunters and their Viking sidekicks, robot assassins and the blackest of humour. What's not to love?

Alternatively, I always really liked the Buddy Bradley stories from Hate magazine but I suspect they might be out of print now.
