I put a few songs in the gramophone folder like usual, but these ones don't play in game. They're mp3 and the other 3 in there play fine in the game but these other ones just come out as 2-3 seconds of garbled sounds and then it skips to the next.

This one time before a song played at possibly 2x speed. (The singer had a high voice, which was kinda funny) but that was only on the first play of that track.

I can't think of any idea why they don't play, any clue?
Thanks!

Sometimes the games doesn't like MP3s. I would convert them to OGG (I use FormatFactory) and they probably will play OK.

Yeah, it seems there is a certain type of mp3 the game doesn't like. When I did my Russian radio station I had to convert both the music and the programs to ogg cause the mp3s wouldn't play correctly.

What is the bit rate of these MP3s? If it's 56kbs, that's the lowest (I think) you can go while still retaining any semblence of quality. If they're lower than that, it might cause a problem on playback. The higher the bit rate, the longer it takes for the sound file to cue (or load) but if it's too low, problems can occur.
As already mentioned .ogg is a great compression format that still retains high quality in a small file size. Just find out what the other .ogg file sizes/bitrates are and use the same settings for your new ones.
I think there are two major MP3 compression types. I always use the "Lame" compression format.

Yeah I converted them to ogg. and they play fine.
Thanks for the help!
