A heads up on SH5 pls?

Hi

I just picked up SH5 Gold for what seems to be a bargain price (about US$20), is that good? Given I am probably going to only play this game modded, was getting the GOLD version even worth it?

I haven't played a subsim since AoD way back when and I haven't really done any extensive research on this game but from what I gather the modding community has made what would have otherwise been a buggy/unpolished commercial release in to something worth buying. A big thanks in advance to all the modders out there!

Anyways I have started poking around this forum to gauge where this game is at. Seems that there is/was a lot of resentment towards Ubisoft when this game was released and did they really stop supporting it?

Any general comments on where this game is at, or what are must have mods, please post them below.

yeah its a sweet price. i paid full and deleted it after a few weeks. it was very buggy. i suggest u check the mod forum for essential mods. basically puts the game into another realm.

i had a hard time with the auto targetting system, my advice is 500 m and at 90 degrees. lock on with space bar then unlock and fire.

oh, to start a mission u have to select it first. check tha admiral in the u boat pen!
