I like Jack. I liked the move "School of Rock". I thought it quite entertaining.

Okay, I will be 'stick in mud guy'; I do not care for Jack Black. I find his style of humor to be contrived and his delivery forced.

I can not say much for his humor but I can say for School of Rock he did a nice job with his character. I have not seen any other movies with Jack Black nor any of the performances on Saturday Night Live. He did star in Yo Gabba Gabba though! The kids like him. :DL

There are some things he's been in that I didn't really care for overall, but generally speaking, I find him cute and amusing. He was the voice of Kung Fu Panda, for Pete's sake, that's enough in my book to earn him the FK Seal of Approval. :yep:

I don't pay much attention to comedy anymore, but I did like him in King Kong.

Hey...your right Steve. I did see this movie with Jack Black playing a part. He did a fine job here as well. Perhaps comedy is not his real talent. :hmmm:

Nah, can't stand him.

One movie having him play Kate Winslet boyfriend ruined the movie for me.
Like that would really happen.

Sorry. Jack Black does nothing for me.
But he's in good company, I assure you.

I agree. I can take him for a few moments but not for an entire movie. He would be great in short skits though.

I'll join you, though my decision is coloured by the other "funny fat guys" of my generation. I think John Candy was the best.

To be fair, I don't know anything about theatrical art, other than that I think most of it sucks, but Candy did a great job in both comedic and tragic roles, as far as I understand them. Again, not someone who would know.

A friend of mine was watching some of his weird music comedy when I was over. It didn't do a lot for me, but I recognized the talent. He's a fine musician and knows how to create and massacre a genre all at the same time.
