Submarine availability?

Hello,
Tried searching the forums, but only found info for the type XXI sub. Does anyone have a complete list of which flotillas get each submarine, and the date on which it becomes available?

I think there is .... somewhere, but off the cuff, I can not say even if it is in my head, but have patience,there will soon be one, and gives you the right answer...

If you use GWX, starting on page 165 manual is all the details of all the flotillas available in the mod. This is also available in abbreviated form in game and with SH3 Commander.

If you do not use GWX or SH3 Commander it is as Vendor says; somebody should be along in a bit that can help you.

You will find said info in the Basic and Flotilla CFG files but they are quite large and highly detailed.

If you want to customize, you can edit 'U-boat availability.cfg', located in the SH3 Commander\Cfg folder.

Sorry if it's a basic question, but how do I join the 2nd flotilla? Time on my career is Jan 1940, and admittedly, I'd like to get the IXB. Only flotillas to appear on my transfer list are 1st and 7th (current). Also, just running vanilla SH3.

Judging by the SH3 manual, those are the only two flotillas available in 1939 in the stock game. They don't list 2 Flotilla until 1940 and they don't give a month; but presumably at some point that year it will show up as an available transfer option. It may be that it's not available until the French bases open, but I don't know that for sure. It does show the IXB as one of the u-boats available in that flotilla though.

After your base is moved to France, 2. Flotilla will be available, for an unmodded game.

Beery's Flotills Mod will allow you to start with 2. Flotilla in september 1939.
If you like IXs, I reccommend it.

Alternatively if you use SH3 Commander you can get an IXB in Dec 39.
