Game informer is covering ME3 this month, and will be updating this page every couple of days with new info:

So far it's slim pickings, but perhaps more juicy bits will come soon.

Few more: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/05/04/taking-up-space-mass-effect-3-screens/

It seems the return of the space-man (or woman) will be delayed until the first quarter of 2012, which is probably a good thing as I didn---8217;t have any plans for that quarter anyway. The news came via Facebook, for some reason. Don---8217;t these games companies have websites of their own? Ah yes, the Bioware forums have a similar message, but no reasons or other details. Mm.

This has me worried:

Hmm, this is interesting. The streamlining of Mass Effect---8217;s more traditional RPG mechanics that occurred with Mass Effect 2 (the removal of the inventory screen, for example), is going to continue with Mass Effect 3. Eurogamer has the full story- John Riccitiello, the CEO of Electronics Arts, publishers of Mass Effect, yesterday told investors that the game would have greater ---8220;mass appeal---8221; and be a ---8220;shooter-meets-RPG---8221;. As opposed to whatever it was before. An RPG-meets-shooter? The full quote---8217;s after the jump. Thanks to RPS reader Edward ---8220;Fiasco---8221; Fiala for the tip.

Why worried? Well, it didn't do Dragon Age 2 much good... though that mostly suffered from being rushed, rather than streamlined. :hmmm:

Hmm... well, we gotta remember this is a completely different team, and haven't really diss apointed before. I myself dont think they will mess up mass effect 3 as that would completely ruin bioware rep. As its probably their biggest title, and with 2 bad releases in a row. just wouldn't look good.

(did i mention I am being optimistic.)

I do hope they go more towards ME1 when it comes to items, as ME2 was very limited. also i hope they get rid of the 1 button does all system.
(space for run, take cover, talk, jump over things, ect.)
you know how many times that system killed me.

* honestly I can see bioware going to fudge this up by making it to "Shooting stuff> Story, game play" that a lot of people are doing.

I really enjoyed playing Mass Effect 2, never played 1 didn't want to get it after playing 2 cause the story would be all back to front so gave it a miss and will wait for 3.

Ive always thought 1 was better, if you haven't played one or know its story your missing out on alot of mass effect. because, In my opinion, 2 went no where, all you did was build a team that can all die on a mission to shut down a bunch of stupid mine controlled bug people who abduct faceless human colonists... and they only have one ship that is taken down in 2 shot... yea
