I've done a search but to no avail.
I'm trying all the tricks under the sun to run this on Win 7
and it fires up, allbeit after 5 or so minutes but the graphics are under paar.
The tricks i've tried are:
Put shortcut of exe on desktop and put "-w" after path to start in windowed mode-no go

Rightclick on orig exe in game folder and run in XP mode with ALL options ticked-no go
Run as Win 2000 compatibility with ALL options ticked-no go
Ran video test exe inside game folder-no go.

What i mean by no go is that this game starts and i can play it but the graphics are not complete or rendered properly in screens so that it looks like a cheap and nasty 2d version which a 2 year old kid has designed.

Any of you guys have any other workarounds/fixes for this?

You tried using a glide wrapper? as I think the graphics look like that when using d3d

Well what do you know? I am running it in windowed mode now.
There is a high res patch out but only for v1.2 not v1.3c.
Going to look into that a bit deeper, rumour is that there is a workaround for this to work on the game. Rather LOD, not the standalone.

Well for me it works perfectly fine (full cd install, including LoD expansion, 1.13c patch, and copying the files over so as not to use the cd).

With a glide wrapper like this one it looks as good as it ever did. D3D mode looks normal too.

Right click on its shortcut and select properties. fiddle around with the settings. I know that you need to have disable desktop composition selected.

Diablo2+LOD V1.13C running on my win 7 64-bit rig just yesterday. 24" screen.

Run Diablo 2 once, then exit out of it, then go into install folder and run the video test, select 3d and you are good to go.
If you want, there is a high-res fix that works with 1.13c, can't remember the name, it's NOT HIGHRES.
Also the other high res fix does not work in windowed mode, ie -w.
Let us know how you go.
EDIT: I never had to rightclick shortcut to run it.
