I'm no expert, having coming back from a long break after a lot of happy times in SH3 GWX, but what worked great for me started with this thread:

This a series of video tutorials done by Stoianm. The mega mod is "Magnum Opus" and Stoianm has an entire video set on just how to install it and configure the most important options.

Without having to do a lot of homework the game is running quite well for me.

*edit* Ah, I see the ever vigilant Stoianm has beaten me to the punch. I still highly recommend his install tutorial, though, because there's a lot of good advice on configuration and ordering of the essential mod set.

How am I sure its even running.. Nothing looks different.. What are the signs that its running? Thanks

after you wil play the intro (the poland mission) and you will start the new patrol you will see all the diferences

I reinstalled SH5, played the into poland mission.. Attack 3 ships, go back to keil.

I then installed this mega mod and the second patch.. I loaded the game and started to play the second mission I guess..

Which ever is after the intro mission..

What am I supposed to see thats different?

The intro was that mission from poland... if you say that you played the intro without mods and after that you installed the MO and patch 2 than you must to have a lots of things diferents... for example the game interface - look here:

if you do not have this in your game than maybe you did not installed well the mod... watch here:

There is also a README in the documents section of MO 1.0 that tells you all the mods that are part of that package....UI, wave mechanics, AI diff..ETC

Seriously, wasn't there like 4 or 5 people that worked together on this? And out of all of them they used "that" guy to give us a video demonstration.. LOL, his accent is not only so thick, but it was extremely confusing and was going all over the place..

I'm sure he gets a kick out of it too. .

That's a low hitting comment for someone that doesent contribute nearly as much as "that" guy.......... Have some respect for people and other languages... I understand Stoianm just fine and I am a 100% english speaking Canadian..... Have some patients ffs, attitudes like that will not get you far any place in this world....

Well honestly if you dont like to listen to "that" guy then dont listen to or watch "that" guys videos...actully his videos are the only ones we have that teach you anything about how to do things in the game...

So "that" guy has spent alot of his time trying to do nothing but help the community....unlike some who come in and want us to walk them through how to install a mod, with out even using the "search" button....

The mod was put together by ONE person. TDW. He combined many mods made by many people.

"That guy" decided to make the video himself to help others. He has nothing to do with the mod. He likes to help others.

And you say you dont insult people yet you come back in and use a referance to us being Clark Kents...

Its one thing to comment about his videos themselves...They sucked, they were lacking what ever, but to comment on him his self was just not called for...Funny thing is, he can speak 2 maybe three languages, so for his english to have a slite accent to it, to me seems preatty dam good.

Either way its water under the bridge now, if you want help from us then i suppose there are some that will help you, while others wont bother.

:nope: i think theres a major rule in this forum: just be grateful for any advice, tipp, mod, whatsoever. youre obviously a pretty impatient guy... if you´d read carefully through some of the posts in the mod area, you wouldnt even had asked that question. all the guys like sto, etc are doing this in their spare time. this is something that has to be appreciated. btw. im not english/american whatsoever, but i understand almost anything in his tutorials.

Time is fraking money and a lot of people here already spent countless hours just to help others by making mods or tutorials for free.

Now, "that guy" is not UBI nor any1 else employee payed to make all these video tutorials. He spent hours and days from his personal life to help others and even if those tutorials are made in klingonian you should understand stuff just by watching it! Thats why is a video tutorial and not a written one... doh.
