help with sh4

i am excited about the typhoon mod for sh4 but how do i apply it to the game??? i downloaded it but can not get it to work i have windows 7 and a toshiba computer i have both sh4 and u boat missions and would love to have the typhoon class sub to use if possible i see the person put videos on youtube can someone help me

Hey :) Welcome to Subsim first of all!

What I would suggest is to first head over to the Silent Hunter 4 Mods subsection of this forum. They will be able to steer you in the right direction for a lot of things (same with the general Silent Hunter 4 section).

However, to try and help you now, I first suggest you get JGSME (found here: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=156898 )

If you follow the instructions on how to install it, the rest will be simple.

Extract JGSME into your base Silent Hunter 4 install route. Run JGSME and it will create a subfolder called MODS. Now, extract the typhoon mod into that MODS folder. Run JGSME again or click refresh mod list and now the Typhoon mod should be on the left side of the window. select it and click the arrow point to the right and it will install it. Once thats done you're good to go :)

it is funny i am going to get new mods like the playable japanese sub on fileplanet or game files and it keep being blocked by my computer or wil lnot run properly is there a place i can go to get the proper links or files i have a toshibs laptop with windows 7 and mcafee
