It's different, I'll concede that...not necessarily different in a good way though.

Von Luger: Are all American officers so ill-mannered?
Hilts: Yeah, about 99 percent.
Von Luger: Then perhaps while you are with us you will have a chance to learn some. Ten days isolation, Hilts.
Hilts: CAPTAIN Hilts.
Von Luger: Twenty days.
Hilts: Right. Oh, uh, you'll still be here when I get out?
Von Luger: [visibly annoyed] Cooler!

so when he comes out, i'm betting he'll be back in the brig in under 14 days from when he starts posting. (or kh'd, but i hope not, this guy's annoying in a slightly funny way)

Any takers?

No idea why he hasn't been keelhauled by now. How many chances does someone get?

Given that it has taken less than 48 hours the last two times, I'd take the under.

Thing is, if he's keelhauled then he just comes back under another alt. So at least with this way he waits out his month, comes back and spouts nonsense and then gets brigged again for another month. Rinse and repeat. :yep:

So...TTM makes a thread where he basically boasts how many times he has been brigged. He gets brigged for an unrelated reason before the thread even hits the second page. And now we are discussing cheese? Right? I like Gouda.

Edit: Bah, ninjaed by Takeda. Fair enough.

On a more serious note, what if everyone just put him on the ignore list? Would that serve the same purpose?

Don't even need to put it on an ignore list. All it would take is a commitment from the community not to respond to any of its posts. If it makes a thread, ignore it and it will quickly move to page two, unless it bumps it. Then the moderators can handle it.

Remember, it is doing this to get attention. People need to think carefully before responding. :yep:

I'll put name to that. From here on out, he'll get no replies from me.

I can work with that (or try to). Trouble is is when he derails other threads. I guess we can steer around him, but someone will rise to the bait.

I thought that that isn't possible.
The IP address is logged and blocked from SUBSIM.
Unless he gets another IP address and logs on that way.

It's a pity there's not a general "Ignore" button for the Forums at large, that the Admins could use to add someone to the ignore list of everyone except the offending party. That way said offender would just post and post and post and 1) they would never get any attention because no one else could see their posts, and 2) they would never derail a thread because no one would ever reply to anything they said. :haha:

Onkel Neal
04-02-11, 08:21 PM
There is something like that but if we employ it, the user will eventually bombard the moderators with questions about problems with his acount.

The all time great solution to a proven troll is if everyone slaps the ignore on him individually. I mean, why do people pay attention to the drama queens and trolls?
