View Full Version : SH3 free with CoD pre-orders
Hi folks,
Now that UBIsoft - (in the head) have been giving away SH3 with Cliffs of Dover pre-orders I hope that we'll see some new blood enjoying this great game. Maybe they should have done it the other way around and given away CoD with SH3 judging by all the reviews and postings on the boards :).
Best Regards
Aces
I took a chance with the pre-release CoD and my underpowered PC and found that I'll have to wait some time before I can get it running satisfactorily.
In the meantime I have SH3 which I'm enjoying enormously. I'm having a totally different experience with SH3 than with my IL2/FSX flight sims and glad I dived in.

I saw "CoD" and was extremely confused for a minute!:rotfl2:

Once they "UBI" settle on a release date and, some player reviews come out, I will probably buy it.
Preorder is throwing away money.

As far as I can tell CoD is having many initial ptoblems.

Sounds typical for a version 1.0...
Somewhere along the line we (the public) became the beta testers, so once they release 3 or 4 patches they'll get most of the bugs ironed out. :damn:

I hope so because whilst not being an avid flyer, what I have seen so far definitely appeals to me.

As for me, after the way they mistreated the Silent Hunter community, I'll never buy another thing with the Ubisoft name on or associated with it. Ever!
I'm willing to forgive Ubisoft for past transgressions (choices of sub sims being rather limited after all), but I think I'll wait for the reviews to come in (along with the required patches). :-?

IMO, Ubisoft is making a mistake.
The newer, non-Starforce, SH3 releases could be adding to Ubisoft profits for a long time.
Wouldn't that blow a hole in some of their more recent experiments (SH5)?
