darkwraith mod dial wont go away

I cannot get the dial that you can control the rudder or compass direction without messing with your plotted course to go away. I imagine the button to allow it is hidden behind the pictures of the various officers. How can I remove this until I want it again?

i do not understand what you want: to make the compass disapear?... to move the compas in some other place?.. can you be more clear pls?
if you want for example to hide the compass... just press ,,C'' key if i am remember well ... or click your mous in the headin bar... if you want to move just put your mouse around the compass until you will see something like an ,,X'' ... click and keep clicked and drag in the place that you want to move it

The officers bar covers half the heading bar . Move the officers bar away from the heading bar . In the middle of the heading bar is a red square , click on the red square to make the round compass dissapear . There is a little white dot to the left of the heading bar which is hidden by the officers bar at the moment . Click the white dot to change the heading bar from clickable to change heading to non clickable . Non clickable is the state you need to have the heading bar in order to make the round compass dissapear . I hope thats clear as mud .

I figured the officers bar hides what I need, but now how do I move the officers out of the way?

Put your curser at the top of the officers bar and you get a little square that you can drag around . Hit shift z on the keyboard to hide the entire interface .
