Decided to purchase SH3 lastnight at Ubisofts online store. Perfect, available for download so no waiting and I can start playing as soon as...Erm no.

Order is sitting there saying..."Processing" Spoke to their "support" and it will take 2-3 business days to be available. WTF. Hello you have my money how can it take 2-3 days to download a product.

What a complete joke...

And to add insult to injury...asked for a refund. This will take 5 business days to process !!! :damn::damn:

to refund PAYPAL...5 DAYS What a bunch of *********

Yep, and you can expect more of the same when cash become useless in the near future, all cards and pin numbers, you will have less and less control of your purse strings....

Can you imagine walking into a shop and asking for a dozen apples.

"Yes sir that'll be €4 "
"here ya go, and thank you"
"Thank you Sir, can you call back in 3 days and pick them up"

I did it the old fashioned way in the end......went to PC world and got it for £4.99.

should've buy SH3 from Steam, but it cost ten dollars. I'm sure it's worth of your time.

Seems kind of sad when you can get something faster from retail than digital download...

Who knew assembling all those 1's and zero's in correct order took so long? Maybe the little gremlins in charge are on strike or something? Or maybe it's just Ubi being Ubi. Sort of comforting, (in a perverse way), to know some things never change.

Yep... And that's why never trust anyone when shoping online. They take the mony but the service either appears to be unsatisfactory or something hasn't worked and you have got no quarantee that you will get the money back. And excuse me if I am not right.

I think it probably took so long cos they had to track down an employer with and old copy who then had to upload it to file front :DL

Interesting, when I bought SH3 from the Ubi online store, I paid and downloaded everything immediately. Same thing with SH4.

That was a year and a half ago for SH3, way less than that for SH4. But I think they have a "new" Ubi store since then, I remember getting an email about their "new and improved" site.

Sounds like they went with the new and left out the improved part. :nope:

Edit: altho I paid by credit card, maybe it had something to do with using Paypal. Do they require a waiting period to make sure the payment goes through okay? I don't use Paypal so I'm not sure if that would even be justified.

Usually, unless you have money in a paypal account, it's just a proxy for a credit card anyways. Either way it should be instant like a CC. Sometimes you can link it to a bank account directly, and that may be the delay, but I've never had it happen that way, I've done all 3.

In fact, I've even had a paypal CC, that went through that CC to paypal to my real CC which went to my bank account. All for more points and rewards. :D

It's certainly best to use a credit card here in the UK because current legislation puts the onus on the cc company until you receive the goods and yes, Paypal transactions should be almost instantaneous or a couple of minutes at the most.

"New and improved" is salespeak for "you pay the same but recieve less!".
If it's a new and improved recipe then that means they've have switched to cheaper inferior ingredients/drop some of them altogether .. if it's a new and improved buisness that means employee's have been slashed and customer service has been degraded and if it's a new and improved internet buisness that means the owner has got a cheaper domain name/provider and now uses his wife or children (when they can be bothered) instead of paying the nextdoor neighbour for menial packing chores...

I've yet to see an "improvement" that benefits the consumer......

I bought mine at HalfPrice Books. They had a whole bunch of 'em (DVDs) on the shelf for about $6 (US). If you've got one nearby, go take a look.
