I looked up on Uboat.net the co ordinates for sinkings of ships from convoy SC 7 and marked some of them on the map from the 16th to the 18th to get a rough estimation of it's track. As I am patrolling in the western approaches from 10th October on, I thought it would be easy to locate this convoy but no it isn't. The 16th comes and goes and yet I don't get a sniff even though I am in the area of the first sinking. What I do get , rather annoyingly, is radio reports of others sinking ships from this convoy.

Has anyone else encountered SC 7 ?

i think i had an encounter with this convoy. i was patrolling in the area between ireland and brittain (the area where you need to sink the carrier) and it was during this mission that i had found a convoy of 20+ ships. i believe i made a screenshot of it, but its on my home pc and not on my laptop.

Sturmer, The area you seem to be referring to is the Irish sea and convoy SC 7 was an atlantic convoy from Sydney to Aberdeen although what was left of it could well have headed for Liverpool( Edit: Clyde):). I think all of the sinkings took place around the area of Rockhall. 20 ships were sunk or damaged.

I might be expecting too much of the game for that convoy to be present and playable. One would think it would be included as it is a significant convoy due to the losses it incurred and the ease with which the U boats managed it, proving to be a harsh lesson that the Royal Navy would eventually learn from.

Would it change the outcome of the convoy if I sank a ship that was scripted to be in a radio message at a later time?

k, my bad hehe.

to answer ur question, i dont think it would change a thing towards the convoy. i think the ship will occur again or so.
