Just came over the news here as well.

Very sad, I adored this woman. I don't think she ever got the credit she deserved for her talent simply because she was so stunningly beautiful and many or most never saw past that.

And for all her wealth, fame, and success - she went through the sh!t (pardon my French) many times over in her personal life and came through it all like a trooper. Her grace and compassion for others never seemed to waver.

RIP, La Liz, you shall be both mourned and missed. :salute:

Sad as this day is for Taylor fans, it gets worse. The attention whores from Westboro Baptist Church plan to attend her funeral as well.

The Westboro Baptist Church announced that it planned to picket the funeral of Oscar-winning actress and anti-AIDS activist Elizabeth Taylor after she died Wednesday at age 79.

The Westboro Baptist Church has become infamous for picketing the funerals of U.S. soldiers and carrying signs that state "God hates fags." In typical fashion Margie J. Phelps, daughter of the church's leader Fred Phelps, said Taylor "joined Michael Jackson and Heath Ledger in hell."

Among others too, but that's far and away my favorite of her performances. It helps that everything about that film is outstanding but she is just... breathtaking. I'd seriously consider switching teams for La Liz as Maggie the Cat.

Taylor's funeral took place soon after her death in line with her religious beliefs.

Dame Elizabeth Taylor has been buried in a cemetery just outside Los Angeles, a day after her death.

Her private funeral was held at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale.

Pop icon Michael Jackson, a friend of Taylor's, is one of a number of stars also buried at the cemetery.
