Completed my first mission - what now?

Hi,

just completed my first mission sinking 25 000 tons of merchants on the english east coast.
Cruised back to base, but I'm not able to "end patrol".

I believe I have missed something, but can someone tell me how this is working? When can I return to base?

you must be able to end patrol anytime... is not related to some actions... but you be sure that you are in the wright port... the one where is your base... you have an icon with an ship on it

this may sound stupid but the missions are either the 50.000 tons or the 100.000 tons. now i would say refit and try to sink the other 25.000 tons and who knows ;)

When you get a mission say - sink 50,000 tonnes,
you do not have to sink it all in one patrol. You can use
as may patrols as you like.

If you sink 10,000 in the patrol, you can return to base - end patrol
and select it again when you are ready. Your 10,000 tonnes are saved.

You can even try a different mission and go back to it later. (you dont even need to select it again.)
You only have to get the 50,000 tonnes by the end of the date given
from the area stated.

And even then you don´t have do fulfill all the objectives to go to the next campaign AFAIK.
