Now that Crytek has fixed the major glitches, what are people's thoughts?

I was not impressed. The assault class tier 1 gun feels really weak, both visually and aurally. And you can take very little damage before dying, which makes the action too fast and unfulfilling.

I hope the single player game will follow the first 2/3 of Crysis more than the last 1/3, but I don't know how they'll be able to replicate it if the action is set in a cityscape.

I played some of the demo for Xbox. It was fun, more or less, the armor boost ability seems only good for about one encounter, and useless if you run into more than 1 person. I thought the music was good, if strangely epic :hmmm: I do love how the narrarator of the introduction video starts with 'This is not your average multiplayer gaming experience...' Haha, yeah right :haha: I'd say 6/10.

I've heard mixed reviews for this.
I've seen the trailer for it and must say there's nothing new there, once again, all about the eye candy.
Wait and see. Considering this is one of the most anticipated FPS coming out.
Some people's thoughts on this so far:
"Graphics are AWFUL"
"Low quality textures" "popup everywhere" "aliasing" "some framerate hicups" "It's VERY similar to COD"
But can you really judge a game from a MP perspective? Considering that's all we've got to go on atm?
Bit unrealistic and unfair.

Crysis wasn't bad. Not brilliant, certainly not, but not bad at all. And the engine is a gem.

Skipped the demo once I found out it was MP, not interested in the slightest. But if the SP is any good, I just might pick it up sometime... only thing that really interests me though is the possibilities for stealthy gameplay. All I really want is to go all Solid Snake on it, and I don't know if Crysis 2 will let me do that.

MGS4 managed urban environment fine, so maybe with proper use of cloak it will be interesting. :hmmm:

Same, not much on MP in games like this. But from what I saw, the story looks stupid.

I dunno, considering that many people load up games just for the MP after they beat the campaign, I think a game's multiplayer is a pretty large chunk that needs to be looked at. As I said, so far I'd rate Crysis 2's mutiplayer as just about average. Same junk, different names. And if the singleplayer bit does turn out to be goofy, then multiplayer may be the only reason a lot of people play C2.

If that's the case, I would definetly label Crysis2 as a bad game. At least the last one, and aparently this one, really has the focus on single player.

People who are interested in the story and general gameplay will already have been sold (or not) on the trailers. I guess they released the multiplayer demo to get people excited about that component, hoping to cash in on people that buy games mainly for multiplayer.

Wonder how this one will turn out. Can quite easily swing both ways, which is perhaps proof of Crysis being a fairly shallow game under the novel suit.

Bit of SP gameplay: http://kotaku.com/#!5782958/crysis-2-sings-at-30-frames-a-second-on-pc

Think that's the first footage of it running on PC. Looks pretty good.

Kinda worried about level design though. Crysis offered the option to roam around a bit, quite open design. Seems this one is really forcing you down corridors. I don't care for that: a pretty corridor is still a corridor.

I personally like the MP demo :|. While it does feel like your standard Call of Duty MP, the suit powers definitely add a new touch the field.

Although I'm not much for MP focused games, so I'll have to see what they say about SP.

From a single player only player's perspective, it seems to be pretty good, only thing to be concerned about is the poor AI.
